Saturday, 17 November 2018, at Bridge Books Maboneng
The conversation and signing at Maboneng took place at an independent bookshop in Johannesburg called Bridge Books at 274 Fox St, organised through Tshepo, Griffin and the team. The wonderful people at Sir Fruit (for the fresh juices and ice teas) and Vinimark Wine who sponsored the beverages for the event, and my dear mama made kimbap I flew up with so we could have some snacks. Please show them some love on social media.
My conversationalist is Zambia’s legendary Abigail Mbuzi. Abigail originally comes from a finance background with more than a decade of experience. She took the brave step and started over to follow a passion in the food industry. She is the Executive Producer/Creator of Mastercook Zambia making a community space for Zambia’s food personalities. Find out more about her here.
Thank you to Bridge Books Maboneng for hosting, to my social media friends for coming out to support (many I met in real life for the first time at Bridge Books), my Joburg family (Angela, Craig, SWim, Dioni and Chanelle), my school friends (Lemogang – the most gracious host, Lara, Beatrice, Rabe, Kithue), my Asian South Africans(!) and old friends for supporting the event and my work. It meant so much to me to see you all there! Thank you!
